LoughTec wins framework contract with higher education institutions in Ireland

LoughTec, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading IT infrastructure specialists, has been appointed as sole supplier on a new framework agreement with HEAnet for the next four years.
HEAnet is Ireland’s national education and research network, who deliver shared IT services and high-speed internet connectivity to all levels of the Irish education sector.
Under the new agreement, LoughTec, along with their partners Ericom, will have the opportunity to provide their remote working and secure access solution to all third-level education institutions in Ireland until September 2024. This agreement continues the longstanding partnership between LoughTec and Ericom, since it began in 2006.
Irish universities, colleges and their users can now enjoy seamless, secure access to full desktops, hosted Windows applications and web applications in a single browser-tab portal, from any device, anywhere in the world.
