Krispy Kreme Hacked
11 Dec 2024
Krispy Kreme has reported a cybersecurity breach that disrupted its online operations in certain parts of the United States. The company cautioned that this incident could have a significant impact on its business.
The doughnut retailer revealed on Wednesday that it discovered “unauthorized activity” within parts of its IT systems on November 29. Efforts were immediately undertaken to address and resolve the issue.
This situation has caused disruptions, particularly affecting online ordering, according to the company. Krispy Kreme operates both through its own retail outlets and via partnerships with supermarkets. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the company has a presence in 35 countries.
The company acknowledged that the breach has already impacted operations and is likely to continue doing so until recovery efforts are fully completed. Despite these challenges, its physical stores remain open.
